This is an introduction to the “BORDER” model, which is characterized by its longer length, from the BARBOUR lineup.
A special film is applied to the reverse side of the cotton-based fabric to ensure water resistance. This item can be worn with peace of mind even by those who do not like wax jackets.
The silhouette has been revised from 2024, and the addition of a moderate amount of roominess is also a point, with sizing that allows you to comfortably wear it over a jacket. Please enjoy it in a variety of coordinates, from casual to suit styles.
The separate “Zip Fur Vest” can be attached as a liner.

Refined 2-Layer Fabric
This jacket features a high-performance 2-layer fabric made of cotton blended with polyester and a special film on the reverse side for water resistance. It has a moderate sheen and crisp feel, and being non-oil fabric, it provides a comfortable wearing experience without any odor or stickiness.
Inside the body, 100% cotton tartan check fabric is used. Tartan is a traditional checked pattern that originated in the Highlands of Scotland and has been widely used in Scottish national costumes. This classic pattern exudes a sophisticated charm.
The sleeves feature a smooth nylon lining for easy wear and comfort.
BORDER
The “BORDER” jacket is a traditional BARBOUR style characterized by its longer length. It was introduced in the early 1980s by current chairman Margaret Barbour and is named after founder John Barbour’s history of moving from the Scottish borders to Northeast England.
This long coat is designed to be worn comfortably over classic tailored jackets and blousons.
Functional Details
The collar features a refined corduroy material, and on windy days, you can wear it with the chin strap to keep it up for added warmth.
The front features a heavy-duty BARBOUR double zip and snap button placket for a classic look, along with a zippered pocket beside the zipper.
The underarm area has three small ventilation holes for breathability and to prevent overheating. The cuffs are adjustable with snap buttons for a customized fit.
Handwarmer pockets are conveniently located for easy access, and there are large flap pockets for carrying essentials.
Inside, there’s one pocket on the left chest, and both sides have removable pouch pockets for added functionality.
Convenient Silhouette
This model has been revised from last year’s slim fit to a moderately relaxed silhouette that allows for layering over tailored jackets or blousons.
With a long length that covers the jacket’s hem, it pairs excellently with suits and smart-casual styles.
